    When it comes to religion, there is always this balance: on one hand any religion is an ideology, it's not something people are born with, and religions or their subsets can be harmful. On the other hand, religiophobia can be like racism when overgeneralizing occurs, e.g. "all Muslims are X", when they obviously aren't. On the third hand, some are, and this can be taken into account in very specific cases.

    So, let's take Scientology. There is no doubt that most Scientologists are honest, hard-working people, duped by this cult. It would be wrong to make certain negative general statements about them. OTOH, I think we can agree on the general harm of Scientology (or at least CoS). And an ad targeted at Scientologists would not be out of place. Not any ad, of course, but I'm writing about a general principle here.

    So where's all the outrage against anti-atheist bigotry?
