        I'm interested in the subject and have read a bit about it, but have seem very little hard evidence either way. If there is no barrier to exit, then we should see a normal number of regular people (not celebrities) who've converted from Islam. As we see in both Christianity and Judaism. If we don't see those numbers, then we can surmise that the barriers to ecit are indeed high.

        Does that happen? I have no idea.

              desperately to find something. First we assume that anybody trying to leave is subject to a FATWA, even though there is neither evidence nor reason to support this. Then we decide that there is no evidence because nobody tries because they are afraid of the automatic FATWA. That is known as petitio principii.
