    bushwack the President and got away with it with little more than a hand slap.  He appears to have a history of challenging and testing authority and maybe thought the Rolling Stone interview would further enhance his rep as a general who defies the President and keeps his job.

    The editor of the news-making article about General Stanley McChrystal said Tuesday morning that the general and his team knew they were on the record when they made every one of their explosive comments.

    I believe that the President is more secure in his position, despite the constant criticisms, and I trust him to see that McChrystal's gambit is a challenge to his authority as Commander in Chief.  This challenge should be met with a quick and decisive decision to fire the general.
