because, again, you fail to consider history.

According to your theory, China and/or India should dominate the world of soccer.  Soccer is popular in both countries and many young boys spend their youth playing soccer.  However, China and India are absent from the soccer stage.

South American countries with much less population and organization have dominated the game for decades now.  Most of these players from South America spend the years between world cups in Europe, helping enhance the nature of the European game there.  We see no such phenomenon in the U.S.  Organization is great, but doesn't do the trick on its own.

I would love to see the U.S. become a powerhouse.  It would add an interesting dynamic to the game.

You say a team is only as good as the players on the field.  That betrays your lack of understanding in team sports.  A team is as good as how cohesively it plays each game.  France had some of the best players on the fields of the 2010 World Cup.  They competed miserably because they failed to play as a team.

Please, none of the name calling.  I think it's beneath you.

    •  Cricket (sp??) is the most popular game in India (0+ / 0-)

not soccer. Soccer was introduced or allowed by the Chinese Regime in China in the early 90s
