  •  Don't See the Word "IF" in There (0+ / 0-)

It's obvious that Frank is discussing the thinking in the White House, not the thinking "if" they were involved.  If Frank didn't think the White House were involved, then there was absolutely no reason for him to discuss the thinking behind the White House's involvment.

Look, other than using the diary as a vehicle to attack Obama critics, I agree with your call to mobilize to pass this legislation.  If you are going to attack Obama critics, manipulating the facts isn't the way to go.  You lose credibility.

    •  Frank is clearly discussing the hypothetical (3+ / 0-)

He is not saying that the White House IS pushing for the Dodd amendment.  That's why we have a "may be.."  It really is that simple.  This isn't even about whether Frank thinks White House is "involved."  It's about whether he knows that the White House is pushing for the Dodd amendment.  That he's even discussing "thinking" makes this hypothetical - obviously, those are not quotes to Frank from some White House official.  He is speculating about the White House thought process were those reports to be true.  He's not saying they are true.

I'm not manipulating facts.  You are taking speculation and assuming that is evidence of fact.
