...I'm so sorry for the loss of your daddy. And I congratulate you for achieving something I never did. I wanted to be a University Professor or enter politics, but ended up being "a jack of all trades, a master of none". I wish you "fair winds and following seas" on your new teaching position. I have no doubt in my mind that you will excel at it(probably set the standard for others to emulate). This nation desperately needs qualified teachers who can think on their feet, whose mind is illuminated by the lamp of experience, not just read from a teaching guide or teach just enough bullet points to pass a marginal student to the next grade who is woefully unprepared to do so, who could learn to love reading and absorbing(retaining) knowledge if given half the chance by a true leader (like you)who leads by example. So many of our kids are tuning out and turning off, and falling through the cracks, not realizing they will be our nation's leaders one day and tasked with solving our problems, instead of side-tracked by the trappings of chasing the almighty dollar. They need someone like you who can make leaders out of them, or at least productive contributors to society. Peace always. Bobby
