    ...on an impulse, but found that I like it a lot.  I use the stalks to make a soup stock, and the leaves both fresh and dried.

    I get my Karela seeds from Evergreen.  Some I germinated indoors (nicking the seeds slightly before planting), and a few I just put directly in the ground.  It likes heat and it's flourishing in my greenhouse.

    Okra - I just put it in peat pots and transplant it once the weather is warm.  It doesn't like getting its roots disturbed.

    Daikon - never had a problem.  I just put the seeds in the ground and get out of the way.
