As a revolution in this nation we will already be behind the "lines" I will attack the manufacture and shipping of the RPG's and flamethrowers along with medical supplies, food, and fuel.  I will encourage monkeywrenching and the loss of supplies to my side by like minded citizens.  I will attack equipment unmanned and men unequiped.

You present the hardened enemy to us to defeat but that is not the targets we will choose to engage.  We won't fight moving tanks, we will drop thermite charges down the barrells of sitting ones.  We won't be attacked by drones we will sabotage their radio encryption boards at the point of manfacture so that commands die and the drones crash.

    •  You won't do any of those things. (0+ / 0-)

Not unless you want to be responsible for a lot of IGNT diaries.   Those are your people.  One may be your brother.

I'm sorry but I see what you say as spouting nonsense or advocating terrorism. Medical supplies are sacrosanct even in wartime.

If you do what you say you would be hunted down by your neighbours as a rabid dog.

I think I have a better understanding of asymmetrical warfare and its consequences than you do.  That is why in Vietnam the aussies had less trouble than the americans.  You make sure that the 'locals' have the desire to police their own.  Guerilla armies by and large require aid and support from the locals.  Otherwise they just wind up as groups of bandits that prey on the locals to survive.

      •  If I were in such a position I certainly would (0+ / 0-)

Terrorism is such a horrible word choice anymore.  Terrorism must imply attacks against civilians in order to create political change.  Nowhere did I suggest harming civilians or civilian property.

This is simply what will happen if there is ever a popular uprising in the US. The infrastructure of supply of the military will be crippled.

I believe you're assigning positions to my neighbors that you cannot possibly know.  They may as likely be my compatriots though more likely than either they will simply want to be left alone.  Sure there will be propaganda against a popular uprising but in a nation with free media it won't work near as well because the impetus for the uprising will be commonly understood before the information lockdown.

I submit that if you understood asymetrical warfare my first reply would not have been needed.
