      This is a very interesting reference.  If Bush is intent on taking on Iran, he is effectively pursuing a dual-front, Hitler-type strategy.  This will be (even more) catastrophic for our country.

      He will be saying "Bring it on" to the world.  

      In a purely "American-power" analysis, Bush has already weakened our soft and hard power immeasurably.  With regard to soft power, we are at the lowest ebb of our soft power since Wilson's League blew up.  It took us decades and a World War to recover.  With regard to hard power, we could not achieve a win in Iraq against a very weak opponent.  Our army looks pathetic, and resorting to torture only weakens us further because it is the tactic of a desperate, grasping power.

      I heard someone opine during the '04 campaign that America's worst enemy could not have picked someone better to destroy our country.

      I agreed then, I agree now.
