  •  I know, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf (none)
and the PNAC told us ahead of time exactly what they intended to do.  As Butch Cassidy said to the guy who challenged him to a knife fight: "But I never thought that you were actually going to DO it!!!

I guess that I knew that this looming catastrophe was possible as I pounded the pavement in my neighborhood for the Kerry campaign, but, like Hersh, I never really thought that the American people would allow it to occur.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?

    •  Thank you! (none)
I thought I was the only one who made the connection between Mein Kampf and PNAC documents.

I'm continuously puzzled. In high school, I learned about Mein Kampf and thought, "Well, duh, world, he TOLD you what he was going to do." And just last week I was having an argument with someone who seemed to swallow all the justifications for war and had to invoke PNAC documents. I mean, jesus, if none of the reasons for war make any damn sense, and all the reasons they gave in the PNAC documents DO... I mean, christ.

Anyway. Welcome to the meme pool.
