... of those in our party who continue to call for bi-partisanship or who give this administration even the simplest courtesy, such as voting to confirm Condoleeza Rice.

There is no more accomodation with these people.  They are evil.  Or lunatics.  Or both.

I have absolutely no faith, at this point, that our elected officials will have the courage to raise holy hell.  Very few of them have that kind of courage, as Hersh notes.

And the complicit media (yes, complicit, because it is in their best interests to maintain the status quo that has allowed them to become monopolistic) will do nothing to halt the naked aggression of this administration not only in Iraq, but here at home, as well.  On the environment, on oversight of everything from the financial markets to our food supply to pharmaceuticals, healthcare, poverty and every other critical issue that the current power elite views as mere expenses that cut into the wealth of the already wealthy.

And, so, it is left to us.  The people.

These are truly the Dark Ages of our nation.  We must put our collective foot down.  We must decry this radical fundamentalism that is seeping into every part of our lives.  We must resist and we must protest and we must hold to account those from our side who acquiesce and appease.

We need to organize and resist.
