Anything to keep the 250,000 DKOS members from waking up to the slaughter ???

    This is one crappy scheme.

    1. Motherships get tethered to the Rec list
    1. These Motherships redirect everyone to ROV diaries that avoid all imagery of what is happening with the BPKILL ecodice in the Gulf of Mexico.
    1. Nothing else gets the big push. There is no environmental "Mothership" and no central image-oriented blog system rolling at DKOS to document what-all is getting slaughtered.
    1. Same for threats that materialize and such as FEMA redoing their detailed ecavuation plans. DKOS getting pushed to the ROVs makes the site damn near useless.

DKOS is near useless for following the ongoing damage to the Gulf and the various threats to Gulf Coast residents.

Following the ROV robots ? Sure thing. Boys playing with toys... far from any action that really matters.

    "Nastiness" ??? -- damn right.

    Fuck you, Slick.

for the images. I have many I can send you the links for and you might want to start a database which we can access 24/7. I have many documents (pics) of the destroyed birds, fish, mammals. They are all over the net. It would be really useful if someone would start a database.

      •  I just did post a diary Safe Harbor. (0+ / 0-)
        HERE

        Safe Harbor

The real need, ASAP, is to revert to the WineRev Model.

        One diary a day.

        Pics.

Focus on what is happening instead of these dumb-ass robots. The robots are not anywhere near the action -- they're just monitoring the blow-out site and the fractional efforts to suck up crude.

How high you gotta be to think that watching a ROV is entertaining ?

There's not that much dope anywhere I know about.

      •  For a database... we use Oracle 11g. (0+ / 0-)
Maybe there's something that the Googles provide that would allow online/free/easy access ???

I'll do a Safe Harbor series. Post there and I'll see if I can work out a generalized and indexed access system.

Images are 99% of what is happening down there.

BTW: Other than FEMA revising evacuation plans, the rest of the textual reporting tends to drop off into jargon after the topic sentences.

        Or else its propaganda.

in both the Mothership and ROV templates that take those who care to places where there are pictures - graphic pictures - of the death and destruction wrought by this disaster.

Many comments have linked to videos, images and slideshows as well.

If you want to embed images, do so on DKos outside the liveblog. Hell you can even pimp your diary here. Just don't embed.
