    They were always champions of tradition. However, racism and white supremacy were traditional, so they had to choose between tradition and fredom, between tradition and justice. We all know what side they came down on.

    Respect for Dr. King's leadership and achievements is now traditional, so now they try to claim him.

    Tradition shouldn't be the main reason to do anything.
