"It's a small mind after all."

Seriously though, I suspect that Becko is creating a third definition of The Great Disappointment.

    From Fictionary.com:

The Great Disappointment - 1. The failure of The Rapture to occur in October 1844; 2. The generic term used by  conservative women to describe their wedding night;  3. Glenn Beck's 17,427 Teabaggers on the Mall on August 28, 2010, (FOX News' estimate of 150,000 notwithstanding.)

There was a 9-12 Project booth at our local July 4th celebration.  There were also displays there for Americans for Prosperity.  And for at least the brief time that I was in the area, not only were they not getting any people stopping to visit, there seemed to be an exclusionary zone around their booth.  It seemed like nobody wanted to be seen close enough to them to possibly be confused with an actual Teabagger.  Granted, they were at the end of the street on the outskirts of the main vendor area, but the drop-off in the crowd density was extreme.

This is in Harrisburg, Oregon, a conservative small town dominated by two industries - grass seed and motor coaches.  The motor coach facility shut down a couple of years ago ...  And though it would seem like an area ripe for the picking, this did not appear to be the case.  One lady I spoke with even lied to them, saying she wasn't a registered voter, just to avoid having to interact with them more.  This is the silver lining in fighting astroturf "movements", their support is narrow and shallow.
