  •  I got Alter's book from the library (4+ / 0-)

two days ago, having requested it on the day of publication and being #12 in line. I'll request Plouffe's book now. I used to go to Barnes and Noble to sit in their cafe and read current books, but am hooked again on using the public library.

      I love my public library.

I just finished Alter's book this morning--really enjoyed it--and have "The Renegade" in my tote bag to start on after I finish a wonderful first novel, Clay's Quilt by Silas House. (I was going to link to a particular website with a review but was FURIOUS to see a key plot giveaway in the first few sentences--didn't look any further. I'm still pissed at that reviewer.)

This review of Alter's book is right on the mark.

      Don't believe everything you think.
