      adhd, ptsd, reactive attachment disorder, bipolar disorder...

      I would simply say dysregulation of emotion, impulse, and executive functions..

      He was in special ed all through school, never "earned" his way out...he had been EXPELLED from first grade because his violent outbursts, including throwing desks, was too difficult to handle.  We got him in second grade, could not enroll him in school, except in the program for seriously emotionally disturbed.

      He may be OK, his girlfriend is still there with him,  I think he is working lots of hours  at a mall job, but he isn't communicating after I would not co-sign for a car.  Sadly, people get categorized n terms of their potential to provide "stuff."
