  •  I was in the military at this time (none)
    (active duty Air Force, 1969-72,) and this author's take on antiwar activities as seditious strikes me as extremely unusual for the time.  It was made clear to us by our superiors that we could attend antiwar demonstrations like the Moratorium in 1969 as long as we were not in uniform.

    I should make clear that I was not in Vietnam.  At the time of the Moratorium, I was still being trained stateside (Army Language School in Monterey,) and afterwards was stationed for a couple of years in Berlin.
