      It's either democratic men who think Whitman is 'sexy'  (ha) or democratic women wanting to support a woman just to break the glass ceiling, no matter 'what' woman does it, or the poll is suspect.

        ... that under-informed voters are seeing. I've talked with folks I know that fit into that demographic - some Latino, all of them busy-with-work type of folks, and they seem to be largely unaware that a) Whitman has no idea how to run any sort of civic entity, and b) that Jerry Brown is, in fact, a candidate for governor that does know how to run the state.

        The most galling (and disqualifying, in my view) statement in the Whitman feel-good commercials is the notion that California should be run "more like a business." The fact that civic administration is really fundamentally different than for-profit corporate administration, and that Whitman doesn't understand this, should scare voters away from her in droves, if they knew what was good for them; but alas, to most folks it all sounds just peachy in a state that is bankrupt and legislatively hamstrung.
