  •  Look, I lhave ong regarded you as an (0+ / 0-)

intellectual champion to admire and support - which is my own "thing" - and do admittedly hold a little disappointment in your recent choice to turn on atheists and spend so much ink condemning us that it seems to take away from your efforts and attention on holding back religious extremism.

So, I apologize for taking umbrage at the umbrage you took at my remarks.

But, you still, and repeatedly, chose not to engage the substance of my comments, instead continually limiting your response to personal attacks - and to the old rhetorical tactic of accusing the other of doing what you repeatedly are doing yourself.

All I have expressed is disappointment in you - but, at least I have made that a very small part of my comments, which have included several points worth discussing, in my opinion.

It baffles me why you choose not to engage in substantive debate at all, not even a little, but only to either defend people you like, or harass people you don't, without ever getting to the meat of important issues any more.

It is just such a waste of intellectual talent.

That is baloney. But I do not engage people who indulge themselves in personal attacks and bogus forms of argumentation. I've learned my lesson in that regard.

I do sometimes call out logical fallacies and/or contrarian nay saying such as your invalidation of Chris's appearance on Olbermann. Call it idealism on my part, I choose to believe that you did not intend to do that. But in fact, if you go back and consider your comment sometime, you did.

That said, if you expect anyone to take you seriously, you need to be far more respectful of people with whom you profess any measure of alliance, even in disagreement.
