    Imagine what the last 8 years before Obama would have been without the filibuster....

    Actually, we aer afraid to use it, and Republicans use it constantly?  WTF is that?  Our representatives need to get a clue or a spine or off the corporate dole or all the above.

      me inclined to get rid of the filibuster. Only have the nerve to use it abusively all the time. Dems just aren't like that. So the option to filibuster will always be more advantageous to Repubs, because they are willing to use it all the time.

      But I do have my doubts. Pandora's Box, perhaps.

      GOP: Creating the multitude of problems we face, then paralyzing the Senate.

      How would those 8 years have been ANY different?  Other than a handful of judicial nominees I don't remember anything the Dems filibustered in the Bush years.   Surely there must have been SOMETHING but it's not coming to mind so I can't see a whole lot of difference.

      Care to refresh my memory?
