    commercialism is the danger to democracy but it's almost impossible to regulate commercial media due to consolidation and pervasive influence of money, even the ACLU has adopted a first amendment approach to advertising, wathchdog groups trying to work within the system are locked out, FCC is a market first regulatory agency. No public input on bandwidth delivery to commercial broadcasting. Need a more robust non commercial non profit sector like Canada and a regulatory agency that is people first instead of market first. Book is ten years old but he predicted the course that  led us Citizens United vs FCC
