  •  Why is that the Democrats always seem to be (1+ / 0-)

following after the fuckin' greedy GNOP elephants cleaning up shit after them?
If White makes it, he's screwed from the getgo facing that monstrous $18 Billion plus budget blackhole (the same with the slight chance of taking over the Lege).
Practically a thankless, hopeless task, just like Obama's inheriting 8 years of disasters from the masters.

IIRC, G. Dumbya Bush left behind a $10 Billion dollar budget hole when the Peter Principle elevated his sorry ass, and Perry and the Rescumlicans did their best to hide it and roll it down the road all these years.

If the Dems could get ahead of the curve and show more initiative, thoroughly trounce the SOB's, and implement policies that would keep them in power, the Rescummies would never come back, they would finally be Whigged out. But we're stuck with ineffective, milquetoast, bipartisan-seeking  'leaders' like Reid and Obama.

curve ball when Wall St., BP, big oil, big insurance and big everything about $$$$$$$$$$$$ own the GOP and more than a few blue dog dems.

Take the money out of politics and political campaigns and the playing field would be far more fairly leveled.

I don't know about you, but I don't see a campaign finance reform bill on the agenda of either party.

At the very least the Democratic Party, except for the sell out blue dogs, make efforts to address the needs and interests of the people over those of the big moneyed fat cats.

We do have health care reform, though w/o a public option.  The middle class did receive a tax cut.  The evil doing stimulus bill stalled, at least for now, the firing of police and teachers.  Unemployment benefits were extended for the jobless though the Party of Scrooge and Marie Antoinette refuse to further extend them.

Tougher regulation of the financial markets finally did pass Congress, much to the chagrin of the pimped out GOP. Were it up to the Republicans,  most of the middle class would be living in the streets.
