Thank you for reading and sharing with us the story of 1st Lt. Travis Fuller.  The boards are hard to look at without being brought to tears.  Last year, during the NN09 in Pittsburgh, my mom called and told me Bill Cahir was killed in Afghanistan. He was my cousin's brother-in-law.  We were all heartbroken over it.

This year, I saw his name on our boards and was overcome with grief.  So much has happened in this one year, such as: his wife gave birth to twins who he never got to meet.  It was hard to look at it, then to see so many names who came after his death (around 500 casualties since his death in Afghanistan) it all made me terribly sad.

    Peace to you, gizmo59.

I now recall that Bill Cahir ran for Congress as a Democrat in PA-05, the CD next to mine (PA-03).  And I do recall hearing that he was killed.  He would have made a great Congressman.  It just serves to remind one how much potential is being irrevocably lost in these wars.

My condolences to you for your loss.
