    Graduated 1964 from Texas Tech.  I haven't checked lately to see what tuition is not, but we almost rioted when our tuition was raised in 1962 from $50 to $75 per semester.  The rest of the cost was covered.

    This is what the whole financing system for Texas schools is about.  A whole lot of us couldn't have gone to school with higher costs.

    Of course, most things were less then.  I worked part time for half my room and board, which then ran just over $100/month.

    This is unconscionable and criminal.  I hope enough people in Texas get really mad enough to remove these people from anything to do with any kind of public office.

    Thank you for the diary.  teeth grindingly enough already.......I will be sending emails with links to a few people in Texas who should know about this, just in case they don't already.
