Both of my Grandfathers were coal miners and they started working in the mines at about 16 years old.  A lot of men got killed in those days.  I read another article recently that Rand Paul visited Harlan Kentucky and had never heard of "bloody Harlan" and the fighting between the mining companies and the miners there.  It's one thing to be a carpet bagger running for Senate, it's another to not even bother to learn about the state you claim to want to represent.  But I guess Dr. Paul was too busy creating his own "board" to certify his own medical credentials and getting all that stationery ordered to make it legit.

"Rand Paul and the Militia Boys" would be a really good name for a really bad Bluegrass band.
