    shock me to see the stay continued regardless.  Barring a showing of immediate and irreparable harm if a court's decision doesn't go into force immediately, there's a bias toward preserving the status quo built into the system in these sorts of cases.  Injunctive relief is pretty regularly stayed pending an appeal.

      Aren't most of the facts about "harm" adjudicated at this point?

      And what's the danger? A few wasted sheets of paper? They invalidated the 2004 marriages (though not without political effect).

      I'll be shocked if Walker issues the stay. I agree there probably will be one, just not from his chambers.
