    of foreign aid, Haiti was a good example, but when there are too many caveats attached that in fact change a nation's culture and societies bad things happen. The controversy over contraception versus abstinence is an example.

    Not to mention changing agriculture ways that created worse condition's. But overall helping out other people better themselves is a terrific goal and should be a priority for progressives.

    Sirota as usual, puts his own warped and distorted hatred of President Obama and all his works at the center of his argument against it.

    I see that he still seems to have some followers here, I am not one of them, and have not been for a long long time.  Trying to raise wages and working conditions to more fairly meet US standards is a much better way of dealing with such disparities than tariffs and isolationism as many advocate.
