..I would personally prefer if NFL remained exclusive of female players. It's is only my preference, my bias I suppose.

In most every aspect of life, I see no reason for women to be excluded, including the Scouts. I don't see a lot of reason to have 'boy' and 'girl' scouts. It's outdated. So long as they are properly supervised, I have no problem with them participating together.

Likewise in sports like ski jumping, no reason for it.

    •  I agree with you on the NFL. (0+ / 0-)

And I am a diehard female fan who was brought up by a mother who preached 'everyone is God's children' regardless of size, color, sexual orientation, sex, disability, you name it. The size requirements of the NFL and AFL (arena football) favor/demand the biological aspects of male homo sapiens. A woman player would be a freak of nature and heavily ridiculed and most likely discriminated against. I do agree that women can be coaches, owners, admin. personnel and hold their own w/any guy.

Good diary as usual, teacherken. I agree with you on everything else.

Mother nature did craft some differences between male and female human beings. That's differences, not weaknesses!
