    When coakley lost 840,000 votes Obama got in 2008, or the fact that Brown won while only getting more 64,000 votes than McCain got in that election.

    Where were the missing votes? Every poor, working class and progressive town in Massachusetts.

    It takes a lot of alienation to produce a Republican Senator from Massachusetts. And there's a lot more alienation toward this party - from those who can never vote Republican - 9 months later.

    It ain't just Gibbs. Its all of them.
