    Wireless is all about the "last mile." That maybe what we see as end users but even the data to your Blackberry has made most of journey on landlines so non-discrimination on the wireline network is extremely important even when it comes to wireless devices.

    With regards to dlink thingy, I way it works, it's sends a request to the upstream router to prioritize the packets, if the upstream router isn't free to honor the request, the dlink router is useless in that regard. Also, as a practical matter, all network devices have to play by the same rules. You can't have somethings allowed in the home and other things in the office, and if different national governments try to balkanize the Internet with their own rule book, it will really be a disaster.
