When I receive statements from the Social Security Administration, they state that I would collect one amount if I start at age 62, another at 66 another at 70.  Does this mean that if I do not start taking Soc Sec payments until the age of 70 I will receive a higher benefit?  It seems that the monthly benefit amount will not be enough in my case until the age of 70.  Or am I misunderstanding how the system works?
