    FDR didn't need commissions to tell him what to do.  He knew it was his job to make the big decisions, and he didn't need to hide behind anyone else. This commission is not only a waste of money, it's also a waste of time and bad politics.

      both in congress and among the populace, to do whatever he felt was necessary.

      President Obama had a slight majority -- back in 2008.

      I don't like what he's doing either, but I understand the practicality.
