    The messy GOP primary will help, with the possibility of a three-way race, and the certainty of a wounded GOP nominee.

    Suffolk County teabaggers hate Bishop, and rudely disrupted his town halls last year.

    But there are only a few hundred of them, and they are so far-right that I'm sure Bishop will run a few negative ads about them that will move the moderates to vote for him again.    

    A public option for health insurance is a national priority.

      scaring and turning off reasonable Republicans, which is good.

      And yes, I was vacationing on LI last week and saw the ads the three Republicans are running against each other. It's not pretty.

        Especially if Cox or Demos wins the GOP primary, and Altschuler actively runs on the Conservative line.

        After Sept. 14, you all may be heading north rather than east.
