The above is a must read for anyone who comes to this website, or anyone who is interested in continuing the successful progressive legislation of the past, and hopefully of the future.

The August 30 edition of The New Yorker contains the above article by Jane Mayer in which Ms. Mayer describes in detail how the billionaire Koch brothers have pulled the strings for the far right to destroy anything even remotely resembling progressive legislation or government policy.  THIS IS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO COMES TO THIS WEBSITE.  We all need to be informed and we need to shout the details of how these crazies are dragging any "redneck" they can get their hands on to the extreme limits of what used to be the GOP.  The term redneck was used in the article and not created by me to describe the far right's newfound leaders.  If you can't get the magazine, you can read the article on line.  I read it on line and couldn't find the magazine anywhere because my bookstore had already taken 8/30 magazines off the racks, so I went to the library and spent some time making copies of the article.  It's definitely a MUST HAVE for everyone who visits this website.  Then you must write a letter to the editor to inform the rest of America about who Beck and Palin work for.

    •  Links to this article have been posted in many (0+ / 0-)

diaries. I myself posted it several times.

Rachel Maddow interviewed Jane Mayer last weeke. The excellent account of the Koch Bros has been repeated many many times here but very few seems to know of it, or of f the role the Koch's played in alst weekends Beck's revival meeting on the mall, or have a clue how the Republcian electorate are being grossly, callously, Machiavellianly manipulated.
