a debate on this. If it is 1% against 99% then what are you afraid of?

      that is social security.

THAT'S what I'm afraid of.  How is that so hard to get?

this is not some law-school debate society where we get to explore the interestingness of wacked out fringe belief systems.  It's the real fucking world, where Obama voluntarily decided to create a cat food commission to eradicate the social contract that has made America a better place for 75 years.

And he's a fucking idiot for not understanding that.

The bear and the rabbit will never agree on how dangerous a dog is.

has any basis in reality. The reality being that Obama has come out and explicitly supported social security, something that he hasn't done for ,say, military funding. And the commission is a deficit commission not a social security commission. And Obama actually expanded medicaid through his healthcare bill, a fact which was ignored by upper middle class lefty blogosphere because who gives a fuck about poor people?

privatizing Social Security. I don't believe he's explicitly rejected cutting benefits or raising the retirement age.

Once upon a time, the inviolability of SS was the ultimate line in the sand for Dems. Now, it seems like there are no fucking lines at all.

When you triangulate everything, you can't even roll downhill...
