"it is one of those perpetually promulgated lies that Republicans support the troops, and never was it more apparent than under Bush and Cheney. It is incumbent upon all Democrats to stop enabling the lie. It is incumbent upon anyone that cares for the truth to stop enabling the lie."

Diarist then quotes Obama enabling the lie by repeating it.

Obama: Yet no one could doubt President Bush's support for our troops, or his love of country and commitment to our security.

And it is not the first time nor is it limited to Bush. Obama lavishes praise on Reagan. So here is Obama, using the bully pulpit of the presidency to promulgate GOP lies about support the troops while sending 1,000's to their death in a cynical search for non-existent weapons of mass destruction, electrocuted in their showers by cheating contractors who paid $40M in bribes to Cheney.

      •  I'll let diarist call it. He made the connection. (2+ / 0-)

Between Bush and GOP's total lack of support for US troops and it being a lie perpetuated by the GOP and his quote where Obama in turn perpetuates the lie.

It is a fair question to ask of the diarist since he makes the connection and comparison and quotes Obama.
