while we're in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression is foolhardy.

The issue is the House Democrats are pledging to stand firm and vote against any changes to social security.

      That is a good thing.

Or do you you always just go off on wild negative rants when present with good news.

I am sorry your post has been disqualified because it is not sufficiently depressing

that this gives democrats the opportunity to have a positive action..... possibly even standing up to Obama, if you like (which I think you would like) ..... improving their electoral prospects for Nov. by doing some positive for the people.

The thrust of your posts seem to say...... let's make this all about Obama and how sucky and weak he is..... !

You have the opportunity to DO something.... as in calling your Rep.

Maybe that is what Obama is waiting for The dems to catch fire.

Obama should be providing leadership and not waiting for us to provide leadership for him. We shouldn't have to constantly stand up to Obama (and no I don't like having to do so). If we wanted "leadership" to stand up against, we would have voted for fucking John McCain.

Most of us have been and will continue doing "something" (not just calling our Representatives - especially since many of us have unresponsive Reps). It'd just be nice to have the President we elected working with us by providing leadership in standing up against these sorts of schemes rather than waiting for us "to catch fire" and provide "leadership" for him. It'd be even nicer if we wouldn't have to be put in a position of having to constantly "stand up" to Obama.

            •  Obama is providing leadership (0+ / 0-)

He wants a commission to study how to reduce the deficit.

He is not a fucking dictator. Though it seems that you wish he were.

Someday you will catch on to how our system of government actually works and what it is that Obama is actually accomplishing. As in dialogue, discussion..... debate, noisy debate. The House democrats are speaking up. Good for them.
