... we cannot get along without fossil fuel ... and indeed that we cannot get along without maintaining the most grossly materially and energy wasteful technology on the face of the planet.

But evidently, since there are people who live a lifestyle every bit as affluent as the median American with 1/3 or 1/2 as much effluent, T Boone Pickens and his Business As Usual with NG powered cars replacing gasoline power cars is not the only option.

As far as people not realizing that the best thing they can do to rescue their property value is to get an oil-independent transport corridor in their suburb ... no, of course it has not sunk in yet.

I can't get the word out all on my own, of course ... any help getting the word out gratefully accepted.

... into a wind farm in Pampas, Texas.

He has also spent quite a bit on pressing his plan to switch US motor vehicles from gasoline to natural gas.

Wind is an excellent investment for him, since its a natural hedge against problems in the natural gas industry, given that problems in the natural gas industry would tend to increase the average earnings of a wind farm.

Intrinsic hedges are far safer than hedges in financial derivatives markets, as we learned in 2008, because there is no second-party risk with the intrinsic hedge.
