How far does HEAL Africa's work reach? And I'm wondering what was actually said in those conversations with the tribal leaders to enforce the new national laws. It just is difficult to imagine how you'd convince people who think rape is okay to peacefully change their position. Seems like Mama Muliri is a true saint.

North Kivu and Maniema provinces, and their network is expanding. The logistics involved in getting even one person to the hospital is daunting. The drive from Goma to Lubutu is seven hours if there are no incidents or delays. They really serve a lot of square miles.

I honestly hope that Muliri gets the Nobel Peace Prize someday. She so deserves it.

the amount of work she's doing and the odds she's running against are superhuman. Kudos to for continuously shining a light on this. I wish more people would hear about her, but all in due time, I guess.
