    of the word "likely," as this is simply one projection. I also condemn it because the more you tell people it's "likely," the more they give up. It's getting harder and harder to get volunteers here, I'm hearing, not because people are so disillusioned with the Democrats, but because they've been told it's no use so often they are starting to not want to waste their time.

    The counterproductivity of this place is becoming overwhelming, especially to those of us trying to work our butts off.

      sources mostly agree though, and I bet you that when Nate Silver comes out with his House model he'll also project that the GOP takes over the House.

      I agree that Democrats shouldn't give up, but it also doesn't make sense to ignore the reality- and the reality is that we're facing a GOP wave. If we don't accept that, we'll waste resources in fights that are already lost, while we could invest them better by protecting Democrats in less-Republican districts.

      Also, as a volunteer, intern and pro-bono staffer on several campaigns I object to being called counterproductive.
