  •  He was outed because of his intentions and lies (6+ / 0-)

He signed up here and pretended to be a progressive while he was a paid operator for the Rand Paul campaign.

And his intention was to subdue fundraising and sow discord for Jack Conway. And his poisonous pen succeed for a time.

There was nothing wrong with outing his ill-conceived intentions and vile work on this site to repress a Democratic candidate over a radical Republican teabagging Bircher.

Furthermore, many people here ignore Kentucky and look down on it, so this race just hasn't caught the attention it deserves (kos gets it though). The Republicans OTOH have no such soft bigotries. This seat is for their home boy McConnell. He's waiting in the wings to step into the Majority Senate leadership seat.

Rand Paul not only has every wack nut job across the country funding him, he's in Canada and England and around the world bringing the radical nut $$ back to take over Kentucky's Senate seat. And Karl Rove has put this seat at the top of the list to take and Rove is working it hard to ensure Conway doesn't make it to this Senate seat.

On top of that, Conway has King Coal and it's Citizens United megabucks aimed at taking him out.

With all that said, Jack Conway is young and he has a good head on his shoulders. He's dangerously progressive By the people, Of the people and For the people 1000% of the time in a conservative Democratic state (57% registered Dems in KY).

Conway is one of the young leaders of the Democratic Party's future. Rove and McConnell know that so they intend to snuff it out now.

    •  I'm the one who doesn't get it. Why isn't (0+ / 0-)

it a Conway blow out?  I just don't get it.  Why isn't Sharron Angle in single digits?  Why haven't the Republican leadership repudiated the plan to have a Koran burning?

      I quit.

who's a libertarian and that plays well in Kentucky... good old boy stuff... anyway Gatewood has run and run again for offices in Ky and he's made inroads for the Ron Paul crowd.

That's my hypothesis. Part of the reason Rand Paul had such a meteoric ascendancy at the beginning. His wheels had already been greased.

And Mongiardo has been a real prima donna and not only refuses to endorse Conway, but he's zinging off nasty sour grape comments. I hope it kills any political future Mongiardo thinks he has because he will be held partially responsible for any defeat if it happens since he refuses to even say so much as a kind encouraging word.

endorse perfectly good opponents.  All it does is underscore their jackass-ified nature.  Jackasses.
