  •  I hear ya....even though I haven't had white (4+ / 0-)

flour or sugar for a couple of years.....I still think about it when I pass the Krispy Kreme's in the grocery..they were always my true weakness as M&M's get boring after you get free samples for 10 years. ;)

    Sugar is evil!

I have been treating myself to strawberries this week with a sugar free vanilla ice cream I make.  It really has gotten easier.  Every day is a new day so don't beat yourself up about yesterday.

    •  Well.... (4+ / 0-)

I haven't eliminated any particular foods or edible substances from my diet at all.  I just eat less in general, and will still have a donut every so often for breakfast.  (choc covered white donut, 290 calories ;)

      •  That's great! I'm limited to about 75 carbs a (4+ / 0-)

day or I will gain weight.  That one doughnut would blow half the day's carbs!!

Keep up the good work and don't beat yourself up for an occasional slippage...we are only human.

        •  I think I'd hate a carb restriction per se. (4+ / 0-)

GF splurged and bought us subway subs the other day, and I had a 6 inch buffalo chicken on flatbread.  I was trying to find the actual calorie count online and couldn't, possibly in part because I don't have flash working right, and the official subway site just complained, wouldn't offer me any alternatives to flash.

But comparing the subs on bread to those on flatbread elsewhere, it looked like the flatbread was something like 200 calories less than the bread, which was both amazing and made what i got amazingly low calorie...

can I get the recipe for the sugar-free ice cream that you make? For some reason it is really hard to find sugar-free stuff over here, especially treats. I had a friend send me sugar-free jello out of desperation. Thanks! :)

Sugar has always been my weakness; have been a sweet snacker for so long ... last night, I kept on smelling baked goods and there weren't any in the house, it was making me a bit weird.
