  •  On the other hand a lot of rich folks don't vote. (1+ / 0-)

At least that's what is seems like with all of the current self-funding crop of Republicans.

    •  I don't see how O'Donnell wins unless (2+ / 0-)

the GOP electorate in DE votes like its counterparts in states like AL, MS, OK, UT, ID, and other very conservative states. For her to win O'Donnell will need to neutralize whatever lead Castle gets out of New Castle County, where Wilmington is. She's going to need to run well with Castle there, while dominating him in Kent and Sussex counties. I don't see it happening.

      •  She's not even making an effort there (0+ / 0-) least that I can see.

Normally, I'd agree that NC County would swing the election one way or the other.  This isn't 'normal', though.  I'm not so sure that the turnout in Kent and Sussex might not overwhelm the money GOP in New Castle County for once.

The NC County dynamic is one that would seriously come into play if it was a Coons / O'Donnell race in the general.

        Let's hope.

        •  THere aren't enough nuts to vote for her (0+ / 0-)

Moderate Republicans, and that's the majority of them, in ALL counties will vote for Castle.

She could take all of Sussex, and she'd still lose. She could take all of Sussex and get decent votes in Kent and she'd still lose.

But she won't. The bulk of the population is in NCC, and they're not going to vote for her. She might win in Sussex, but carrying Sussex and $5 will get her a latte - provided the barista doesn't recognize her.

poor folks don't vote much either.
