  •  thx, once again you hit the nail on the head (9+ / 0-)

the other day I was saying to co-worker that it feels like we are living in the 'bad' time line like in sci-fi stories with alternative histories or outcomes. I used to think we were in the right universe, but someone we ended up on the short end of the stick, where the principals i believe made this county so special were sold out to the highest bidder and we are living in a Orwellian puppet theater. the use of 9/11 as a wedge by the right is one of the ways "they" have managed to steal this county and as a new yorker, i take that personally, that "they" use our trauma to cause more.
anyway, i wish you never have to post this again (in a good way).

    •  You're on to something there. (4+ / 0-)

That "bad time" you refer to could very well be a collective post traumatic stress gripping the nation. The notion is that there is something not quite right with our functioning day to day, and our ability to process events with the best possible response. It can do very bad things. Witness Germany in the 1920's after the humiliating defeat in World War I.
