  •  I cannot believe people (4+ / 0-)

who claim they care about their fellow man and country would even think of letting those country wreckers back in.
I don't get it.  They must have no children or plenty of money to move outside the country.  It is insanity to want the likes of Palin and Beck and
people who voted against unemployment and
tax cuts for the rich in power.  Sheesh !

    •  The kids are out of the house (0+ / 0-)

and I'm stuck here, no money to move away, but like someone up thread said "Evil is still evil".
Even though he dissed my Governor it's still true.

There is a saying in Tennesee, or was it Texas, no I think the idjit from Texas said it:" Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice....I can't get fooled again."
I'm sitting this one out and no amount of scolding will change my mind and guilt trips don't work on me either, I grew up with a Jewish Grandmother.

"road-side" supporters to feel guilty? I have not seen or read anywhere on Kos where Obama supporters are asking anyone to feel guilt concerning their decision to take a "road-side" seat this November. But I just wonder how all of you will feel two years from now when the Republicans are SPENDING your money to conduct investigations against this President, trying their best to impeach him, or trying their best to get rid of YOUR social security payments for the future???? I know I am going to be real PISSED at all of you people who have the audacity to sit out of this election just because you feel as though you have been WRONGED or that your feelings have been hurt by this President...but you know what, all of you had better beware of just what you are asking for....instead of the economy going over the cliff, this time, it just might be the WHOLE please, go get your lawn chair and pick you a nice place by the roadside so that you can watch as the Republicans take control of the car again, but you better hope that as they are driving this time that the car doesn't run all of you "siders" over...have a blessed day!

This is not the first diary of this kind and yes some of them put on the guilt quite thick. That was the reason for my 'guilt trip' remark to save you the trouble.
"roadside supporter"! Really? You don't know a thing about me.
The Republicans will do what they want to do 2 years from now or 6 years from now and not even you can stop them. I've been around politics a very long time and have the scars to prove it. No politician can hurt my feelings, but I have to say I have never been this disappointed by anyone of them.
It escapes me how you can not be pissed by how much has already been given away without a fight. And my SS I don't think I have to wait for the Republicans to take it away, looks to me like the Democrats are already trying to figure how to do that.

I am the one ususally griping about the dems.  Then I saw some of my best friends of over 50 years talking like Nazi's and I cut them off.  They talked like it was the 60's and Obama was MLK and the communist was here and I was one of them.
I never saw such hatred in my life and we were not even talking politics.  I just turned down a HS reuinon because it was nothing more than a red winged gathering for some local politicans pretty big in the state.

If you don't think a politician cannot affect your life, you need to rethink that one.  Wars, (Civil) lynchings, and a thousand other things I could mention more than likely will happen.  Bank on it.

I'm sorry your friends turned on you,it's an ugly climate out there right now, but you will survive the insults.
I never said a politician won't affect my life, they do it on a daily basis. If I thought that what would be the point of voting? Or even having this discussion or what would've been the point of getting beat up at  civil rights protest?
So please, don't put words into my mouth.
You tried the guilt, the scolding, the insults and now you try panic?!
I'm done talking to you. You are not ready for a rational discussion.

but I am well becoming associated with your kind of "mindset"...I, too, have been "involved" with politics for a long time.I have been a Republican, a Democrat and now I am an Independant, so I can say I know a little about the process. And who said I wasn't pissed right now, I am very pissed.I am pissed about the way the Healthcare bill was passed, and several other pieces of legislation, but unlike you and the legion of "sitters" who claim they will be sitting with you in November,I UNDERSTAND that GOING BACKWARDS is NOT an OPTION for me. I refuse to let the babberling, idiotic Republican rip apart my President...ain't gonna happen, no matter how much you and folk like you are WILLING to throw him to the DOGS, that is YOUR option, not mind...and I am glad that NO politican can hurt your feelings, I guess that is a good thing. That sentiment will probably serve you well NEXT year when the country is being pulled apart..Guilt-free politics, the conventional way of thinking..good for you and the legion of "sitters" like you...have a good day....

            •  We won't be going backwards (0+ / 0-)

we haven't even gone forward yet! We're still in the same place we were when 'w' weaseled his way into the WH.
Unlike you I have been a Social Democrat all my life, in TWO Countries, even before I could vote. Nothing will ever change that!
Yes, I'm guilt free. I cast my vote, right or wrong I will live with it. I don't have to change my party affiliation to feel good.

              Have a blessed day also.

                •  With no means (0+ / 0-)

to get there even if I wanted to 'escape'.

                  •  I am quite sure... (1+ / 0-)

if things get as bad as I think they will, if the tea-publicns win in November, that you will find a way of "escape" which is somehing that most of us will be unable to do...this IS MY COUNTRY, for better or worse..I refuse to cut and away to another country, even if I could, I would not want to...I live in the BEST country in the world, give or take a few idiots,so why would I want to leave anyway???? I wouldn't, so you CAN vote anyway that you see fit. I just wish that there was some way that all of you who don't vote in November could forfeit any benefits, WHEN we pull this nonsense out....yeah, I said it, and I truly believe it....

                    •  So much (0+ / 0-)

for the First Amendment. What a 'great' Democrat you are?
As vindictive as you are you would fit better in with the republican crowd.

                      •  Vindictive??? Just because I don't... (0+ / 0-)

want my country to be turned over into the hands of a bunch of racist idiots???And believe me, most people would place you and your decision to "sit-by-the-roadside" this November as a vote for the most idiotic Republican. They would place your name right next to the list that says "DINO".God bless you and your first amendment rights, let's just pray that the next bunch of Rethugs take your first amendment, fourteenth, and any other amendment rights, as serious as you do...have a good day!
