    I never thought I would end up liking Kerry as much as I did. I didn't vote for him in the primary, but I did in the general, and I'll be proud of that for the rest of my life. He damned near beat an incumbent during a time of war (I still think the horse-in-midstream dictum did him in).

    •  I think your right about changing horses (none)
      Kerry himself has said that his campaign's internral polling showed that a majority of Americans thought Kerry would be a credible commander in chief, but Kerry wasn't able to convince them that Bush was NO LONGER credible as commander in chief. Did Kerry make mistakes, sure.  But no garagantuan ones, and lets face it: the don't change horses during wartime is convincing (which is why no imcumbent president has EVER been defeated during wartime.
