if Crist should be elected and then his now hidden ethical issues become apparent than at least we would have a dem gov. (sink) who could appoint a dem senator.   (snark)

    •  Unfortunately, they ALL have "ethical issues". (0+ / 0-)

If there was a candidate who didn't or was more trustworthy than any of the three, I'd vote for them, but we're stuck with the three we've got.

Since those "ethical issues" are more or less equally bad between the three, then the difference between them really comes down to just how good or bad they're likely to vote on policy issues.

If we get close to November and find that Meek still has no real chance in the race, then between a very, very BAD candidate (Rubio) and one that at least SAYS they're likely to be at least a little bit progressive (and at least has a history of NOT being "teaparty-ish" regressive while in office) then the choice for me is pretty clear.

If Meek somehow makes a better run at it than everyone seems to expect him to, then I'll certainly be open to changing my mind. But otherwise, I'm still going to say that a vote for Meek is like a vote for Rubio. And that's actually not easy for me to say, because at heart, I'm quite the idealist, and I'd actually RATHER vote for the one with a "D" next to his name, just on principle. Unfortunately, this is one instance where standing on principle is likely to have us standing under a teabagger, and I for one have had enough of those regressive policies ruining my state and my life! And if it means I need to hold my nose and vote for someone I don't really like to keep someone I really, REALLY don't like out of office, you bet I'll be walking into that polling place holding my nose.

Never has so much been taken from so many by so few for so long...
