    •  I think that's where most people are, honestly. (4+ / 0-)

If there really is a significant faction that plans to stay home then, yeah, that's bad, and it needs to be addressed ASAP. But mostly what I see is a lot of "conventional wisdom" (read: bullshit) with little or no underlying evidence.

But that doesn't mean it will be pretty, heh.

The last 30-40 years have been sheer hell, on so many levels, for so many people...a lot of good brothers and sisters did not make it, to see the day that we now can look forward to, when we will finally be able to begin to really surge forward into the 21st Century, for justice and peace, to save the planet...

All we need is a few more progressives, and a few less Blue Dogs and Republicans in Congress to break the present log jam, and to allow some substantive electoral, campaign finance and media reforms that will allow us to begin to implement a more viable democracy, going forward.

Indeed, I do think we have come to a major turning point, where many more lives really do depend far more on the outcome in 2010 and 2012.

If Joel's Army and their ilk should prevail, blood will flow, for real...indeed, that may happen even if they lose, because such elements are not likely to submit to the popular democratic will, but can be expected to resist militarily.

This will be financed by the rich, who will also seek to further sabotage the economy, hoping to render us more vulnerable to civil war.

But the stronger the popular democratic mandate, the stronger position we will be in, in terms of material ability and unity of will to suppress the traitors, and defend democracy.

Oh yeah, and did I mention, the ice caps are melting!

All Out for 2010 and 2012!

being optimistic - the wealth gap has gone back to 1920's levels. There has to be a turning point. I thought it was Nov 2008. I felt the recession had to usher in a new era..But I worry sometimes given the polls and the Citizens United decision and the misinformation out there and gullible people are..

Also, I'd like to invite you to Criminal InJustice Kos this coming Wed. at 4 PM Pacific, 6 PM Central, 7 PM Eastern. I'm the diarist.
