where I find that it is mostly the younger generation who are excited about the Colbert/Stewart rally and oblivious to the earlier one that Ed Schultz is talking up on the radio. I personally have given up watching cable television unless it is for a specific event.

I guess what I am saying is that the political blogosphere such as Daily Kos personifies  is not the primary source of news and information to either my generation, my son's generation of my grandsons' generation.

Most of the people i know consider cable news and newspapers yesterdays transmission and get their info directly through I phones!!!!

Comedy is cool, unions and labour are old hate. That is the inescapabel conclusion and therefore it is nevessary to imp,ent bnew ways of getting their attention. Rovck the Vote adnd MTV used to do uit and OFA still does to a certain degrees.

Daily Kos doesn't. Most of my 'circle' have never heard of it, abnd we are a really international group of all ages all connected by 6 degrees of seaparation.

This actually has changed a lot since the general election, when I was turned on to DK by friends who no longer find poltical blogging relevant.  But that was definitely Obama/Hillary history making driven, not politics per se.

This is largely why I personally stay here because I am very interested in social communication and interaction.  Social networking is the NEW WAVE.

and I believe that is why ONWT/10/2 is going to really be big, with or without our supposed allies on MSNBC or Comedy Central. Everywhere I look on Twitter or Facebook right now, there they are :-)

If Health Insurance Reform can wait until 2015, then so can any changes to Social Security.

      •  I doubt it. For two reasons. This tech stuff is (0+ / 0-)

a HUGE steep learning curve for a 77 year old, plus I am Brit and cherish privacy above all else and would NEVER consider exposing the reason I joined Facebook to market anything, including really worthy causes.

Most of my posts are in a subtle family code that only REAL friends and family understand.

One of my married into in laws is a God freak and uses Facebook to market her God belief, I fluctuate between telling her/him to bugger of (I am an atheist) and telling her/him that God wants her/him to do what I want her/him to start or stop doing.

So sorry. An unequivocal NO WAY.

I suppose I could post a diary saying God wants DK users to attend 10/1/10 rally instead of that secular atheist apostate Jon Stewart and that irreverent non Reverend Stephen Colbert.

        Would that work?
