  •  Not true it in fact is more like a Nash solution (0+ / 0-)

Ultimately, a two-party system is a zero sum game. One side is better off when the other side is unpopular and incompetent. As such, no matter how disturbing the trend may appear on the surface, Democrats are better off as a result of the continuing rise of Palin and O’Donnell-type candidates within the Republican Party. Even if they are more reactionary, the less popular and less competent Republicans are, the better the situation is for us

Think about whether folks considered Reagan or even shudder Godwin himself and/or the German NDSAP as a better situation for the left since the the real problem was located in the real problems of popularity and competence with a context of a rotten economy.

In fact the only zero-sum game is the media-informational one where schadenfreude makes one revel in the misery of others. TMZ is not the voting booth regardless of every stupid American Idol telephonic voting scheme.

"...calling for a 5" deck gun is not parody. Not by a long shot." (gnaborretni), AND........."I don't vote for a Teabagger God"
